Applied Curricula in Technology for East Africa (ACTEA)

PROJECT OBJECTIVE:

To improve the quality of education by changing the theoretical type of learning process in Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania to practice-oriented competence-based approach in order to form the competences necessary for the labor market in technology.

 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

  • To create practice-oriented curricula, courses and modules in Technology
  • To create hand-on, virtual and remote laboratories in Technology in ET, UG, TZ
  • To speed up integration between HEIs and business
  • To establish cooperation between EU and target countries in education and research

Project Consortium: EU FUNDED PROJECT IN COLLABORATION BETWEEN:-

AP University College (Belgium), Ardhi University (Tanzania), Jimma University (Ethiopia), Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda), Mekelle University (Ethiopia), Muni University (Uganda), Mzumbe University (Tanzania) and Open University of Tanzania (Tanzania).

Enhancing Energy Accessibility & Efficiency through establishing sustainable STI Support National Networks with a regional dimension in East Africa (ENRICH)
This was an ACP S&T project funded by the European Commission, which aimed to promote quality science, technology and innovation (STI) support services in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, and strengthen co-operation links in the energy sector at national and regional level among academia, researchers, industries and policy makers.
